Introduction

Six degrees of separation is the concept that everyone is on average six steps away, by way of introduction, from any other person in the world, so that a chain of "a friend of a friend" statements can be made, on average, to connect any two people in six steps or fewer all over the world. (Freely re adapted from Wikipedia).

Ideally this could be adapted to any other concept in the world, even to civilization; it would be obviously easier since the countries in the world are fewer than its inhabitants but it is the general idea which counts.
It may sound utopia but I personally like to think that nowadays the world has reached great levels of interconnections and even the furthest and most difficult countries can be reached; they are only a few steps away. One step after the other, one connection after the other, if done in the right way we should be able to reach a chain of civilization, a process which develops itself and touches countries which are still left untouched.

The world is not that big after all..

Moving around makes it easier to keep track of whereabouts.

Sure enough, Africa is far, the culture is very different and so are the people.

But it takes only one person, one single person to show that despite all, civilization is there.

it's not that far, only a few degrees away, probably not even six.
